When will we receive gift funds from this honeymoon registry?

Receiving all the wonderful gifts friends and family purchase for you is simple. How your gift monies are transferred is determined by your chosen payment method, and the specific gifts purchased. Please see "Notes to Couple" on each gift item when building your registry. If you are logged in and have already selected gifts, view your Full Accounting. Gifts may be collected at any time, as many times as you'd like. You may:
  • Request an eGift card from our list of available gift cards. There is no fee to receive funds in this manner. Most eGift cards are delivered same day, if requested before 5pm PST. You should receive an email within 2-3 hours.
  • You can also request a Visa Gift Card up to $250 with a flat $4.95 activation fee to be mailed USPS within 2-3 business days.
  • Send funds directly to your US based bank account via ACH bank to bank direct deposit. This is a very efficient and secure method, and funds are received within 2-3 business days. A service fee of 3.5% will apply to funds requested via this method*.
  • Have a check mailed to you via US postal service. A service fee of 7% will apply to funds requested via this method* and delivery time is about 2 weeks. (We are not responsible for lost mail - a great reason to "Go Green" and use the bank to bank transfer service.)
    • *Note: If your service fee was paid by a gift giver, no service fee will be applied to ACH or check requests. Also for check requests, additional fees may apply if a check is lost and a replacement is requested. Email service@honeymoonwishes.com for more information.

How much does it cost to use the wedding registry and wedding website?

It’s free to sign-up and register with Honeymoon Wishes. Based on the method you choose to request your funds, we may charge a small service and handling fee. This is in order to maintain the convenience of a full-service registry, live customer service, and the highest levels of security, encryption and insurance. This is often less than the shipping, taxes, and gift-wrapping charges of traditional registries. Plus, there is no hassle or embarrassment of returning or exchanging unwanted gifts!

What does the service & handling fee cover?

Service Fee BreakdownThe service charge covers your account management, unlimited fund transfers, coordination with partner resorts, cruise lines, and tour providers; your wedding web site, order processing, gift announcements, email wizard, merchant account fees (that we are charged) and toll free live customer service to assist your guests. We ensure that your guest's transactions are processed at the highest rate of secure SSL encryption, and protected by a $3,000,000.00 insurance policy against identity theft and fraud.

This is not simply a fee for processing monies; it's a fee so that we can continue to provide outstanding services for you. To run this registry company, we have a dedicated team, providing a high quality and professional service.

Store registries carry costs such as shipping, taxes and gift-wrap charges to cover the services. The service fee this registry charges is often less than these charges imposed on your guests. The honeymoon registry saves your guests time and gas with the comfort and convenience of purchasing their gift from their home or office. And, there is no hassle or embarrassment of returning or exchanging unwanted gifts for you!

How do I notify guests about my registry and wedding website?

No problem! Our customer service representatives are always happy to help and will take orders for your wedding registry over the phone. Does Honeymoon Adventures book the experiences for me?

You have the freedom to choose whatever supplier for any gift you receive as we are not booking the item for you just because it is listed on your gift registry. If your supplier requires you to book in a certain manner, you will find those terms under "Notes to Couple" as you build your registry as well as receiving an email notification once the item is purchased for you with booking instructions.

Will you send the gift money from my honeymoon registry to my travel agent?

All gift money will be sent direct to you or your destination in accordance with your options and preferences, not to your travel professional. It is best to have funds that are transferred to you by bank to bank transfer. You can email, call or log-in at anytime to collect funds.

How do I know how much to ask for?

When you set up your Honeymoon Wishes registry, we give you a suggested gift amount for each tour or activity per person in that area. However, you are free to ask for whatever you would like. We recommend using varied denominations to accommodate all guests and checking with your travel professional or supplier for exact pricing. All prices vary by location, availability, and are subject to change without notice. You can break down the amounts any way you choose. For example, if an item is going to cost you $200.00, you may ask for "2 gifts of $100.00" or "4 gifts of $50.00," etc. If you've chosen to have gifts go to your hotel those prices will be listed in the exact amount for you.

How am I notified of a purchase?

You receive an email notice to view your "Gift Announcement" that is filled out by the gift giver. Your guests can also choose to print out this customized gift announcement with a personal message and a photo of what they selected on your honeymoon registry to hand to you. You can log on to your account at anytime and go to "view gifts" to view your gift details, givers and the gift announcements. Guest can also post their gift announcement on your honeymoon registry under the "Well Wishes" section if they choose. You can also compose a hand written thank you card right through your account.

When will my Honeymoon Wishes registry be active? When will my honeymoon registry close?

Guests can view and give you a gift starting the first day you set up your Honeymoon Wishes registry. Your honeymoon gift registry will remain active until you would like to delete it.

What if we don't know where we are going but want to use the honeymoon registry?

If you have not booked your honeymoon trip or destination wedding yet and are not sure where you are going we suggest setting up as "Undecided" or "It's a Surprise!" You can always change this to the specific location for your honeymoon later. You can still list your wishes in a general way while you are planning.

Can I use this honeymoon gift registry if I am not from the US?

Yes, absolutely! All amounts will remain listed in US$. Unless you've chose to have your gift money sent directly to your hotel/cruise line, we ask that you use a PayPal account so that we can send you money in a timely manner.
